Junior Football Programme
Australian Rules Football is a game by the people, for the people. It is part of our culture, our tradition our story. To reflect this the College’s Junior Football Programme is intended to provide boys with an introduction to football that is educational in nature and maximises participation opportunities for all students. The programme is coordinated by accredited coaches who create an enjoyable, challenging and developmental pathway for players of all ability and experience levels. The programme has sufficient teams to enable all boys to participate.
Teams are structured to evenly spread talented and experienced players to enable each student to enjoy personal and team success. The programme introduces players to the basics of the St Patrick’s College game style and player expectations which enables players to develop their skills whilst clearly understanding that wearing the green, white and blue of the College is a privilege that demands that all players represent the College with pride and display the highest level of sportsmanship at all times. If the basics are right the boys will play.
